Picture Perfect

Nice. Face. Some how this picture is saved on my computer, I have no idea how it happened, but when I saw this today I laughed really hard. Holy cow. I honestly have no idea how this picture got onto my computer.

I was trying to think of ways that this could have gotten onto my computer when I thought of just how awesome these guys are. They are two of my best friends. I seriously don't think I could have survived freshman year without them. We had some pretty awesome times together. Like last year in P.E., we went through the same routine everyday. Syd and I would walk out of the locker room and the guys would already be sitting on the bleachers. I would make some comment to Byron about how he needed to bring new P.E. clothes everyday not every month. Micah would comment on whether or not Syd and I had matching P.E. clothes, and then they would both make comments on how short my shorts were or how white my legs were. Then, when we started jogging, Syd and Byron would "jog" (it was more of a fast-walk) while Elijah and Micah tried to trip me by running around me in this weird loop thing that they did. Every time we lapped Syd and Byron, Syd would try to coax me into walking with her. This would usually be followed by some rude comment from Byron, and then I would take off running again. As much as Syd and I complained about P.E., we both thought it was awesome.

It was really depressing to not be in Choir with them last year. I mean, seriously, have you heard these guys sing? They have beautiful voices! I could listen to them sing all day long and not get bored. And to add to that, they both can play the piano and various other instruments amazingly. Last year in band was amazing, my terrible oboe playing was masked by Micah's beautiful oboe playing. We had so much fun: purposfully dumping reed water on the floor, making jokes about how awesome oboes were, randomly switching oboes the week before DMC. It was great.

And we can't forget about the last choir concert. All of us were crying our eyes out. Looking back on that night, I have to laugh. Just as we were about to sing "The Lord Bless You and Keep You", Micah said something like "It's alright, we're going to be okay. I'm not going to cry." as tears were streaming down both of our faces. I couldn't even make eye contact with Syd because I knew I would cry even harder. I looked over at Byron and even he was crying. That was the first time I had ever seen those guys cry. There is something about guys crying that gets me every time, so of course, I started crying harder.

Something that I found to be odd was that none of the guys called me by my real name. Micah always called me Nasty. Byron always called me Ann. Elijah always called me Blondie. Evan called me Air Cannon, Annoying Face, or whatever insult rolled off of his tounge first. One of them also called me Stofer quite frequently, although I don't remember which one it was. Honestly, I think it would be almost a little strange to hear them call me Annastazia. In response to their nicknames for me, Syd and I made nicknames/gestures for them, but those are to stay secret.

Long story short: these guys are amazing. I have never had guy friends like them. They are so caring and sweet, yet they don't hesitate to get mad at me when I am being annoying. (Which happens quite often.) And I can always count on them to make fun of me for my clumsiness, stupidity, and overall blondness. I can't wait to see them in like a week and a half!

P.S. Any ideas on how this got onto my laptop???
P.S.S. Phelph! :)
P.S.S.S. I swear if you guys all wear horizontal striped shirts again when I visit, I am going to freak out. (and not the good kind of freaking out)

  1. Hehehe... Byron sent this to me, so I could see his lovely face, and in turn, I sent it to you. I figured you deserved the pleasure. In fact, I think your exact response was, that's not creepy at all. :) Aren't they beautiful???

    1. I still maintain that the second best part of this picture (besides Byron's aforementioned face) is the fact that the door behind them is the same. They are video chatting right next to each other... What nerds! :)
